On Jan. 2, Dr. Gary Gilliland will become Fred Hutch’s new president and director.

 
 
On Nov. 20, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center announced that Dr. Gary Gilliland will become the institution’s new president and director effective Jan. 2. “This is the perfect time and the perfect place to develop curative approaches for cancer,” said the internationally renowned physician-scientist. “Everything I’ve done in my career has pointed here.”
