About me I've been involved in biotechnology in one way or another for the past 18+ years (first as a banker, now as the CFO at Nightstar). Over the last few years I've started hiking as a way to unwind and recharge (in Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica) and am looking forward to the challenge of Kilimanjaro with this exceptional group of people. Why am I doing this? I am participating in the Climb to Fight Cancer to honor those who have been touched by cancer, those who have advanced cancer treatments so remarkably over the last 20 years, and those who are working hard on innovations to eliminate cancers in the coming years. Ironically, many individuals in the biotech profession have faced personal battles with cancer, but are reluctant to share their experiences for fear of the stigma that it may carry. I hope more events like these will enourage us all to celebrate these victories.
