Welcome to the Kick "Butt"lers team page!

Our team is participating in the 2020 Defeat Multiple Myeloma 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk on Sunday, June 28. Each member of this team plays a part in bringing myeloma treatment options to patients faster and helping fund research to find a cure for this cancer. Together, we are building community, supporting survivors, remembering loved ones lost, and funding research that is giving new hope to patients. We are committed, we are strong, and our impact can be enormous.

Please join us in this fight and increase our impact by making a donation to our team today; 100% of all funds raised will go directly to advancing multiple myeloma cancer research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

What is Multiple Myeloma?

Multiple Myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells found in bone marrow.  Normal plasma cells help the immune system fight disease, but when plasma cells become cancerous they grow out of control and can produce a tumor called a plasmacytoma.  If someone has more than one plasmacytoma, they have multiple myeloma.

Why support this event?

Defeat Multiple Myeloma’s mission is to raise awareness of multiple myeloma while supporting research that seeks to discover new treatments, improve the quality of life for myeloma patients, and ultimately find a cure for this devastating form of cancer. Funds from the 2020 Defeat Multiple Myeloma event will continue to support

1. Praying for a cure and spiritually support everyone who is walking/running in this event
2. Donating to support the cause; again 100% of all money raised goes directly to the research at the Hutch to fight and defeat this disease
