I'm riding in the Obliteride bike ride again this August to raise funds for Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center. I'm asking you to contribute to this effort.
Cancer has touched me several times... -My sweetheart, Cora, is a survivor of breast cancer. -My mentor, Chris, had a lifesaving bone marrow transplant at Fred Hutch. Without his guidance and support, I would not have the job that brings so much meaning to my life. As he taught me, it is God's work. -My mother died of lung cancer several years ago. She died before being diagnosed so never had any treatment. -I could go on.
I’m committing to Obliteride this August because I believe research is the fastest path to curing cancer, and I also believe the team at Fred Hutch can get us there. More than 300 labs and projects are working hard to save the lives of people all over the world by conducting innovative, high-impact cancer research.
Last year was my first Obliteride. I rode 25 miles. This year I'm doubling my commitment--I'm riding 50 miles AND I'm matching all the donations I receive. My goal is to raise $2500.
Please join me in this effort to put cancer in its place, behind us. Ride or walk, donate, and tell others about Obliteride.
