"It's cancer". That's what Heather said when she called me at work on November 7th, 2018. In 2017 I was inspired to do Obliteride (and to beg for money for Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center) by my sister and her fight with breast cancer and now it's time to Obliteride for cancer research again with Heather and her challenge as my inspiration. There is.....there was no history of breast cancer in Heather's family but I guess history has to start somewhere.
A 100 mile bicycle ride on August 10th to raise funds for Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center.
A 50% match up to $5,000 by Steffenson Construction
A goal of being one of the top 10 fundraisers in 2019 (I was 7th in 2017). The Obliteride bicyce ride is not a race but when it comes to fundraising for a great cause I think a little competetiveness is okay.
In 2017, I was absolutely blown away by the generosity of my clients, subcontractors, friends and family and it is with humility that I reach out again. Seeing first your sister, then your own spouse go through the surgeries, chemotherapy, the radiation and all of the associated effects on the body has hammered home the importance of continued support for cancer research. Please help me support Fred Hutch with a donation as I'm sure most, if not all of us has someone to Obliteride for.
