Please sponsor me as I raise money for cancer cures

Hello Friends and Family,

I'll be riding again on August 10th in Obliteride, the fabulous, annual fundraising bicycling event that raises money for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Last year, Obliteride raised $2.6 million for cancer treatment research, and I was proud to raise about $2,000 of that.

I’ll do the pedaling for us once again this year, and I'd so appreciate your generous and compassionate support. Whereas last year, I rode the 25 mile Obliteride route, this year I plan to ride the 50 mile route. And I’m hoping to raise at least another $3,000 to help Fred Hutch’s work in developing cancer cures. Since I'm doubling my commitment this year by riding twice as far, I hope you'll consider doubling your contribution from last year, too.

As I shared with you last year, partly I do this because my own mother, and the grandmother my sons never got to meet, Marilyn Levin, was taken from us by cancer when I was just 16, and she was only 45. I’ve personally experienced the devastation and heartbreak that cancer can create. And I also see it over and over again in my work as an acupuncturist. And I’ll bet a majority of you have seen or experienced it, too. But thanks to Fred Hutch, and other cancer researchers, cures really are within reach now, and we could live to see the day when the horrors of cancer no longer threaten us.

But as you know, we are not there yet. Won’t you please help by sponsoring me again this year with a donation of $50 or more to this important and worthwhile cause? It’s easy to do; just go to my fundraising page:

While you’re there, you can follow links to learn all about the work that’s currently happening at Fred Hutch, see where the money goes, and learn about other ways you can help.

We can and will win this one. Thanks so much for your help!
