Cancer Sucks

I ride for my aunt, Loni McIntosh, and my friend, Esteban Garcia, both of whom lost hard-fought battles with cancer.

Everyone who's been touched by cancer knows the despair that can come with it. But what these two amazing souls taught me were lessons of immeasurable strength and love. Loni and Esteban both would look you in the eye and say "why are you crying? I'm gonna win." Neither of them ever gave up hope and their strength has been an inspiration to everyone whose lives they touched.

Every time I'm on my bike and I feel my strength waning, I think of them and how hard they fought. They give me the strength to push on because if they could fight cancer, I can fight sore muscles.

I ride to honor those who have lost their battles with cancer.

I ride to support those who are still fighting.

I ride to celebrate those who have won.

But most of all, I ride in hopes that someone in the future doesn't have to fight.

Please join my team if you want to ride for any or all of the reasons above

Research advances knowledge and that’s the path to obliterating cancer. For that reason, I’m going ALL IN to accelerate research at Fred Hutch.

Sadly, half of all men and one third of all women in the U.S. will get cancer in their lifetime.

We need that to stop.

More than 300 labs and projects are working hard to save the lives of people all over the world by conducting innovative, high-impact cancer research. I’m committed to supporting these labs so they can continue saving lives and can do so faster. Please join me in this fight.

It’s time for us to put cancer in its place. Behind us.

Ride with me, donate to my ride, and tell others about Obliteride.
