I’m Obliteriding to cure cancer faster — and I need your support!
This August I'm going to ride my bike 100 miles as part of the Obliteride to raise money to obliterate cancer.
I'll be doing this ride with TEAM BHEEM. Bheem Goyal is our 8-year-old neighbor and a close friend of Walter's. Last year he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). It's hard to imagine how scary and shocking it is to get such news for Bheem, his parents, his brother, and his entire family. One day everything is fine, the next day, everything's changed.
But Bheem is amazing!Bheem's family is amazing! His fight against this cancer, his unrelentingly positive attitude, and his whole family's determination is incredibly inspiring. We're lucky to have the Goyals as friends and to be able to watch as they tackle this challenge with grace, humor, resolve, and above all else with buckets and buckets of love.
My beautiful mother is also a cancer survivor, and we sadly lost my incredible mother-in-law last year to cancer. And of course so many others in all of our lives are touched by this stupid, stupid disease. No more!
Help me support Bheem and his fight to obliterate his own cancer, and Fred Hutch's fight to cure everyone's cancer!
Absolutely any amount of support is super appreciated.
