This is my seventh year riding, and although I've asked you all before, I am asking again. I ask because we have all been touched by cancer. I lost my stepfather to a cancer that ripped through his body in a few short months. I have lost friends, family, colleagues to the disease. Amazingly, I have also been witness to some recoveries, and those are the ones that give me hope. Recently we received the amazing news that a member of the family is in remission from Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL). The chemo that we have is a blunt, brutal tool, and we can make it better, so more people can get the good news we received.
I strongly believe that cancer can be prevented, that treatment options can be improved, and that cancer one day will be cured. I believe that the valuable research happening at Fred Hutch will help us reach that goal. 100% of the funds raised in this event go directly to cancer research. Thank you!
