In 1986, when I was 9 years old, my brother and I lost our father to cancer. He lost his battle in September after he was diagnosed with Accute Myelobastic Leukemia just 9 months prior. I had nine short years with him, but not a day has gone by in 32 years that I haven't thought of him.
I ride so that no other child has to lose a parent to cancer.
I ride so that anyone faced with breast cancer can live to tell their story like my wonderful aunt.
I ride so that a cancer diagnosis doesn't have to come with the fear of leaving your family behind.
I ride and raise funds so the people fighting RIGHT THIS MINUTE have the guarentee to survive and thrive.
I believe we can make a change by funding lifesaving research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (the very place my father was treated and such strides have been made since 1986).
This year I'll be riding with Team Jerry Jaffe along side my husband and one of my sons! I hope you'll make a statement with me, and consider donating through my fundraising efforts. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to cancer research at Fred Hutch. We can make a direct impact on research to save lives faster. I hope you'll donate as much as you can because you believe in me, what I'm doing, and that together, we can defeat cancer. No donation is too small, and everything is extremely appreciated.
