Over the years I've been on this planet, I've known far, far too many people who have died from cancer or have gone through the most miserable adventure to beat it. I'm thrilled for my friends who have come out the other side, but saddened at having lost so many (and scared about bad news yet to come).
So, this is a no-brainer in my book. Let's all do whatever we can to help researchers find a cure and better means of prevention and detection. I’ve chosen to join the Obliteride community to ride my bike and raise some money to support cancer research at Fred Hutch.
Compared to having cancer or working on the cure, what I'm going to do is the easiest thing in the world. And so is writing a check.
