I'm riding Obliteride again this August because cancer is BS and Fred Hutch is doing amazing work to move us toward a cure.
I'm riding in honor of three fantastic folks.
Ada Kuilan-Foster, one of the strongest people I know. If she can work her whole life, raise my three perfect nephews, and set a shining example of what it means to be a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and human being ALL WHILE KICKING CANCER'S ASS and dealing with my brother, then I can sure ride a hundred miles on my bike.
I'll also be riding with a helmet full of squids in honor of my good friend Abel "Squidhead" Wang (@abelsquidhead), who went from diagnosis through chemo, surgery, more chemo, and DONE, all in the last 11 months. He's going to beat the hell out of this.
Finally, I'll be riding in memory of Kai Hildreth, who fought his ass off, and his wonderful wife, Julie, who was there through every minute of it with him.
I'll most likely be sporting my cancer-chi "Team Ada" Jersey, like all the cool kids. Sure, it's a one-person team at this point, but all you have to do to join is send a tax-deductible dollars toward helping find a cure!
Or ride with me!
Or feel free to please pass this along.
So please, give whatever you can, or join the party!
