My name is Justin.  I ride for 2 primary reasons

First, my grandmother bravely fought ovarian cancer on three separate occasions over the course of my life time.  I remember times falling asleep in the hospital chairs in the waiting rooms while visiting with family.  As staunch as that reality is, the flip side is watching a woman fight a disease a second and third time when passed the cancer free golden mark the first go around.  She loved her family.  And I love her.

Secondly, my wife works at the Hutch and I see firsthand the importance of outside funding is on the center and the amazing work they do.  The Hutch gets a lot of its funding through NIH federal grants and the current presidential budget proposal is proposing deep cuts to the NIH budget.

This is my 3rd year.  The first year, 2017, I rode the 25-mile course.  This year I am going for the 50-mile course for the second year. I’m stepping up to ask people to join me in fighting cancer. Cancer has taken too many lives and is threatening too many more. Research is that path to discovery and understanding.

Please join me in this fight. Ride with me, donate to my ride, and tell others about Obliteride. Because while riding Obliteride might be hard, it’s nothing compared to fighting cancer.
