I ride for my Dad who lost a 2-year battle with stage 4 kidney cancer last June. He was a lucky recipient of a new immunotherapy that worked for about a year - and extended his life. I am grateful for the extra time with my Dad and want others to be able to have the same with their loved ones.
But his loss the the loss of many others highlight how much more there is to learn and do in cancer research. Sadly, half of all men and one third of all women in the U.S. will get cancer in their lifetime.
My hope is that by raising awareness of the great work at Fred Hutch, raising money for their cause, and joining with so many others in the fight against cancer that we will find a cure to cancer in our lifetime.
I greatly appreciate any and all support and look forward to riding 100 miles again this year for this cause.
