Dear Family and Friends,
One year ago this June, I finished treatment for Classic Hodgkin Lymphoma. I'm deeply grateful for the years of on-going research that helped make my recovery possible, including teams at SCCA and Fred Hutch - as well as my personal team of family, friends and caregivers! Steve and I have had other family and friends go through this and have lost too many. We hope more and more research will lead to fewer and fewer people's lives being affected by this disease in the future.
So...with a bike in the garage, a dedicated in-house coach (Steve), and a fun, in-town fundraiser for Fred Hutch...Steve and I are going to do Obliteride together this August because we believe research is the fastest path to curing cancer, and we believe the team at Fred Hutch can get us there.
Sadly, half of all men and one third of all women in the U.S. will get cancer in their lifetime. Fred Hutch is learning more about cancer prevention, diagnostics and treatment and Obliteride can help us get to cures faster. More than 300 labs and projects are working hard to save the lives of people all over the world by conducting innovative, high-impact cancer research.
Please join me in this effort to put cancer in its place, behind us.
Ride or walk (fast or slow), donate (small or large), and tell others about Obliteride (now or soon).
With Love and Hugs,
