As you probably know, a big part of Westlake Consulting Group’s client base comes from the Life Sciences work – both in the buildings themselves and with the tenants that occupy them. These organizations are also doing amazing things that have or will likely directly benefit each one of us someday. We are proud to be part of this community and this year have decided to start up our own Obliteride team to help fight cancer. That’s where you come in.
For those of you that don’t know, Obliteride is a fundraising bike ride supporting the world-renowned Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center here in Seattle. It has been around now for 7 years and to date has raised nearly $15 million to support life-changing, and life-saving, science. See https://obliteride.org for more information on the ride, the organization, and what the funds will be used for.
If you haven’t figured out by now, I’m reaching out to you to help support Fred Hutch on behalf of our team (12 of us). Our team goal for this year is to raise $25,000 and note that even though the link is specifically to my site, you are donating to the entire Westlake team. That way we don’t inundate (and frustrate) our partners with multiple requests. The link to my donation page is below. I also attached a PDF donation form in case you prefer to issue a check.
Thanks for your support and we’ll let you know how it goes. If you are around on August 10th and want to cheer us on, we will be at Gasworks Park around 1PM.
