We are committing to Obliteride this August because we believe research is the fastest path to curing cancer, and we also believe the team at Fred Hutch can get us there.
There are so many great aspects to Obliteride as it pushes us out of our comfort zones around cycling and fundraising. There is also an incredible community aspect of the event and how we are all brought together by this common, life changing experience of friends and family members who have battled cancer.
Tuff Stuff is kind of a silly name, but it has a double meaning -- when my mom was dealing with her cancer diagnosis, it was tough stuff to deal with. Sometimes, that's all I could say about it because it was such a profound and intense experience that it was hard to find the right words. And, as she made her way through treatment, I realized everyone who goes through cancer treatment is made of tougher stuff than we ever would have imagined. So, my friends, find your inner Tuff Stuff to power your way to the finish line and/or make those donations!
Please join us in this effort to put cancer in its place, behind us. Ride or walk, donate, and tell others about Obliteride.
