Hits for Health is Seattle’s top seeded tennis cancer fundraiser hosted at Tennis Center Sand Point. We are raising money to support the amazing efforts of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, UW Medicine and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance to help with the most common forms of cancer in men and women respectively: prostate and breast cancer.
Hits for Health is championed by two esteemed doctors at these institutions:
Both Dr. Lange and Dr. Gralow are advocates for exercise and the benefits exercise brings to improve their patients' quality of life during and after treatment.
"When I tell women that they should be trying to exercise and they see me doing it, they know I believe in it," Gralow says. "That's important."
Dr. Lange is an avid tennis player and plays 2-3 times a week if his busy schedule allows.
"I love tennis! It's a sport I hope to play well into my old age. I urge anyone I meet to play. Its benefits to health and well-being are tremendous!"
With over 3,500 players of all ages at Tennis Center Sand Point and over 20,000 players in the greater Seattle metropolitan area, this amazing duo is bringing awareness and outreach to the tennis community. Support their efforts by participating in Hits for Health and educate yourself on why living a healthy lifestyle is the right choice for you and your loved ones.
