Welcome to the fundraising page for Whitman Cross Country's 5th Annual 24-hour Cancer Awareness Run--Who Do You Run For! On Thursday, November 30th at 12pm, we will begin our 24-hour run around Ankeny Field at Whitman College. Members of the cross country team will run for the entire 24-hours, and will be joined by Whitman students, staff, and Walla Walla community members. In addition to raising awareness about cancer and having the opportunity to dedicate laps in honor or in memory of loved ones who have battled or are currently battling cancer, we will also be fundraising to support cancer research and treatment. 

This year, we are choosing to support the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA. We support Fred Hutch as a national leader in innovative cancer research and treatment of numerous types of cancer, as well as their commitment to finding the curative therapies for most, if not all, cancers by the year 2025. The mission of Fred Hutch is the elimination of cancer and related diseases as causes of human suffering and death. The Hutch conducts research of the highest standards to improve prevention and treatment of cancer and related diseases. Fred Hutch may be nearly 300 miles away from Walla Walla, but with so many teammates, Whitman students and staff, and Walla Walla community members who have ties to the Pacific Northwest, the work Fred Hutch is doing significantly impacts our lives and the lives of our loved ones.

Help us support this incredible research center with a 100% tax-deductible donation either through this fundraising page or by coming out to our event on Thursday, November 30th at 12pm to Friday December 1st at 12pm on Ankeny Field at Whitman College. Last year, we raised $1500 and ran over 400 miles at our Who Do You Run For event, so our goal is to raise more funds and run more miles this year. Please come join us--every lap and every dollar counts!
