100% of donations will go towards cancer research. We have partnered with Fred Hutch for the fourth year in a row, so that we can help them continue their amazing research, and all of the proceeds from this event will go directly towards funding their projects with the 'greatest need'.

OUR STORY:

After her own ‘big C’ diagnosis in 2016, Cat Schwartz founded the big C marathon, with all proceeds from the race being donated to cancer research. It is a run to remind all of us to set goals, to break scary things down into smaller, more easily-digestible pieces, to keep moving forward, to hold our loved ones in our hearts, and to do something that might be terrifying with dignity – and maybe even a smile.

We welcome ALL paces and would be thrilled if you decided to do this as a tribute to a loved one – knowing that we have your back, and will encourage, cheer, and not leave until you have crossed that finish line…

The big C marathon is a small, out-and-back course run mainly on paved trails. There will be 6 aid stations every 4 to 5 miles. Finishers will receive an engraved coaster and a ticket for a glass of Cockrell Hard Cider (with proper ID). Sign up at www.thebigcmarathon.com Check-in will start at 7:00am day of race.
